A 150 year old stone property set in 4 acres of land nestled high on the valley side above the River Lot just 4 Miles from the town of Cajarc. The property has the most gorgeous and relaxing views reaching far along the river valley. They can be enjoyed from the poolside, a choice of a couple of terraces or from the sun room in the house.
The house is newly renovated with furniture, beds and bedding, crockery, etc. A new fireplace and electric heaters provide ample warmth during the cooler months. The house sleeps 8 people - which includes 3 rooms with double beds and 1 room with twin beds (this being a large landing space). There is a new fully equipped kitchen and large sitting room with dining area. Outside there is a 10m x 5m swimming pool, gardens, orchard and paddocks and a great area for barbecues at the original bread oven. The pool and house face southwest making sunbathing possible throughout the day, just the occasional change of angle to the sun bed is all that´s needed !

Andrew, many thanks for a fantastic stay at your property. Our party of seven (consisting of four pensioners, two parents, a teenage daughter and a well behaved westie) enjoyed a relaxing fortnight in early August.
The house was spotless, spacious and well maintained with all the utilities and utensils for our party - exactly as described on the website.. The views from the sun room were outstanding across the valley and did not disappoint at any time of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the evening sunset with a glass of wine. The pool is perfectly positioned to sit around during the day with a minimum adjustment of the sun loungers, and is well shaded by the large parasol-great for enjoying a good book or topping up the tan. The pool itself provided a welcome cool down during the day and was great to sit on the side with legs dipped in enjoying the late evening sun. We enjoyed many a bbq in the shaded and sheltered area under the sun room.
Carjarc a 10 minute drive is a delightful small town on the banks of the Lot with butchers, bakers, cafes, restaurants, hairdressers and small supermarket. Figeac a 25 minute drive away ticks all the boxes for a day out, steeped in history, lovely to walk around and shop in with larger supermarkets and a wide variety of specialist shops. There are many historical places to visit within an hours drive of the property.
Our dog enjoyed the space both around and within the house. Jean Jacque kept the pool in pristine condition on his weekly maintenance visit.
A peaceful pad, perfectly positioned on the valley side overlooking the Lot with spectacular views. Visitors can be assured of a peaceful and private vacation in a well resourced and appointed comfortable property with plenty to see and do wthin an hours drive.
A very comfortable and interesting house in a stunning location perched above the Lot valley. The view from the sun room worth the booking alone.
The house comfortably sleeps 8 and provides numerous sitting areas that cope with any weather condition from heat to rain - lovely feeling of space. The garden very nicely done too.
We cycled, swam in the lavender edged pool, explored the local villages and very much enjoyed the local town, Cajarc.
Customer service was excellent, the house clean and well-maintained and we would certainly recommend La Paragude to friends.
Well worth making the drive - or, even better, bike ride to La Saut de la Mounine across the far side of the valley. Stunning views back to the house and the village of Montbrun.

If the reservation is cancelled less than 60 days and more than 30 days prior to arrival than a 25% cancellation / admin. charge will apply.
A 10% deposit is required to secure a reservation with the balance to be paid as follows:
- 50% (40% if 10% deposit has been previously paid) to be made 60 days prior to arrival date.
- Final 50% to be made 30 days prior to arrival date.
A security deposit of £ 300 is required to cover any damage caused during stay. The deposit is refunded after departure assuming no damage has been caused.
